"Flex PC Board"
We are anticipating our .005" flex board will be available by the end of the 2nd Qtr 2009 (possibly sooner)!

When it's finally ready for sale, we'll have a special "starburst" notice on the opening webpage to kick it all off, so check it often!

This Kapton based polyimide film will allow you to make the same high quality boards as can now with our .032" board because it will have the same 1/2oz copper for very fast etch times. It will also utilize the same "TIA" laminator!

Pricing is estimated to be somewhere in the area of about $30/kit which is the same as the rigid boards.

For the first time ever, you can obtain small quantities of FlexPCB direct on the retail market to be able to make your own:

  • Flex-Membrane keypads!

  • PCB interconnect "ribbons"!

  • Flexible PCB's and "3D" PCB's to cover
    5-sided enclosures!

The kit will contain one continuous piece, 8" x 20" of either SINGLE or DOUBLE-sided flex in a resealable bag (160 sq.in.), a .020" thick 8"x10" piece of unclad fiberglass board used as a "carrier" to run the flex through the "TIA" device and the cover & instructions.

We'd like to get your opinion...

To make this kit, there is considerable expense involved for purchasing minimum quantity rolls and then having it flat-cut to size. One area that we're not sure about is whether or not to offer this product as double-sided. We'd appreciate your feedback as to your personal feeling on this.
