WHAT'S NOT IN THE KIT, but absolutely MUST have...

Please note that the "DecalPRO kit" does not include a couple of very important items you must have before you can start making decals! These items are not included because many of our customers either already have these items or would prefer to get them themselves. Here's what you will need to obtain before you can start.

GBC^® H-220 LAMINATOR:

We highly recommend the GBC H-220 unit. It's the best "bang for the buck" over all other models currently being made.

We made an exaustive search for the best unit at the lowest possible price, reviewing some 10+ brands on the market. The winner hands down is the GBC H-220.

We stock this unit to be able to ship with your order for the "DecalPRO" kit. This unit will give you years of high performance and comes with a manufacturer's 1 year warranty. It is by far the best "lowest cost" unit available. The H-220 is complete makeover of the prior two laminators called the Personal and Creative. Very little difference between them except for a second heat setting which was needed for DecalPRO to work properly. With the introduction of this new unit, GBC has made several changes. Instead just a thermostat in the prior 2 models, this unit features electronic heating control circuitry and an auto-shutoff feature that is a great safety feature. Yes, there was a price increase from the prior Personal model of $60 ($69.95 to $129.95) however the improvements are well worth the added cost. Also keep in mind that this is a one-shot expense that will last you for many years.

There are however, other laminators that will work in lieu of our selected GBC H-220. GBC was the only manufacturer that we have found to work with our process due mainly to the way they heat the rollers. Please click "More info" below for the results of of all laminators we tested. Attention "EXPORT" customers: There are also a few units available for your 220 voltage requirements that are wired for 220vac. Look specifically for the H-65.

HOT AIR GUN:

We do not sell this item since it's locally available at any hardware store. We recommend the inexpensive Milwauke brand normally found in your larger Home Depot/Lowe's type stores.

Dual heat, hot air guns (also referred to as "Paint 'n Strip Guns") are available at any hardware store. The lowest priced unit we've seen is the Wagner brand "Milwaukee" unit model #1220, dual heat, 1200watt unit unit. This item is necessary since a conventional "hair dryer" does not get hot enough for the job it must do. Prices range from about $25 at better hardware stores.
