"Toner Reactive Foils"
GreenTRF is used to seal the toner "circuit image" after it has been transferred to the circuit board.

Toner is a very porous material. If left alone and the board was etched, you'd wind up with pitted surfaces or even hairline breaks from cracks that were too small to see with the naked eye.

GreenTRF solves this problem by completely encapsulating the toner image in one easy step. An absolute "must have" for producing quality boards.

Toner Reactive Foils (referred to as wither GreenTRF or WhiteTRF) have a special "sizing" or coating, applied to the bottom of the foils that will stick permanently to plastic when subjected to heat & pressure.

The interesting thing is that "toner" from either a laser printer or photo-copier is 55% pulverized plastic. So, by covering a toner image and applying heat & pressure, we completely encapsulate the black toner and turn it either green or white. We use these two foils for two different purposes.

WhiteTRF is used for creating a silk-screen layer on either side of the board.

Black toner will transfer equally well to either copper or raw fiberglass board with unnoticable micro breaks in the image when the toner image drops from going over copper down to the bare board.

To get a professional look to your boards, add the silkscreen layer from your circuit design software and add it to the board after the board has been etched and cleaned up.
